Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Position Overview

GRB&A is currently seeking a motivated, ambitious, and team-oriented Accounting Manager. This successful CPA will have a strong history of reviewing accounting and attest engagements on the cash and accrual methods, a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and experience managing a team of staff accountants.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manages and mentors team members to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement.
• Maintains effective control procedures over all aspects of the client engagement.
• Finds and implements opportunities for process improvement in company accounting procedures.
• Monitors GAAP developments, communicates the effects of these developments to management and the accounting staff.
• Serves as the engagement manager on specific client accounts.
• Takes responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverables, and billing.
• Reviews financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, management letters, and other attestation engagements.

Qualifications

• CPA with 6+ years of public accounting experience
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal client relations skills
• Great attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver excellent client service
• Strong work ethic
